The Ronseal Hardwood Garden Furniture Restorer helps to get your worn grey wood back to it's natural colour. It’s the best prep you can do before putting on a stain or oil, you’ll get a much better finish. Its low odour gel formula is safe to use around your plants and pets, so you don’t have to worry about splashes. Before you start, get your furniture ready. Use a stiff brush to get rid of any dirt. Firstly give the tin a good stir, do a test patch to make sure your going to be happy with the result before applying overall. Generously coat the restorer onto the furniture and then scrub it in with a stiff bristle brush. Leave it to work for 15 minutes, don’t let it dry out, as it won’t work properly, if it does, you’ll need to put another coat on. You’ll then need to give it another scrub. Finally, give it a really good hose down, you should be able to get the job done with one coat. However, very grey wood may need doing again. If you get any restorer on yourself, wash it off with warm, soapy water. To keep your furniture looking its best, leave it to dry for a day or two. Then protect it with one of our stains or oils. When cleaning up make sure to scrape as much restorer off your tools as you can. Then wash them out in warm, soapy water. Don’t pour any left over restorer down the drain or into watercourses. Ronseal Shed and Fence Preserver has been specially formulated to give colour and protection to sheds and fences. The deep penetrating 2-in-1 formula eradicates woodworm whilst preserving the wood to prevent rot and decay. The unique formula contains added water repellents, waterproofing the timber from the damage caused by water ingress. Before You Start: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from surface coatings such as paint, varnish or stain etc. Where timbers are suffering from decay, before applying Ronseal Shed and Fence Preserver, remove all decayed wood and replace with sound, treated timber. Cut out and burn all decayed wood at least 45cm beyond the area of damage. Application: Shake well before use. This is important to ensure uniform colour. Ronseal Shed & Fence Preserver can be applied by brush or dipping. Where possible, end grains should be treated by dipping to ensure complete penetration. Apply a minimum of 2 even coats of Ronseal Shed and Fence Preserver, covering all faces, sides and joints, paying particular attention to the end grain. Refer to all coverage guidelines.
