  • Forgefix Multi-Purpose Pozi Screw Csk St Zp 5 X 40Mm Box 200

Forgefix Forgefix Multi-Purpose Pozi Screw Csk St Zp 5 X 40Mm Box 200

These Forgefix Multi-Purpose Pozi Screws with countersunk heads have a zinc finish for increased durability. The screws are immensely popular and versatile, and used in all trades including joinery, electrical and plumbing. Also widely used in DIY applications. APPLICATIONSuitable for use with many materials including PVCu, Timber, Chipboard, MDF, and other similar types. Zinc coatings prevent oxidation of the protected metal to create a longer lasting finish. It does this by forming a barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode if this barrier is damaged. Zinc oxide is a fine white dust that (in contrast to iron oxide) does not trigger a breakdown of the substrate’s surface integrity as it is formed. The zinc oxide, if left intact, can act as a barrier to further oxidation, in a way similar to the protection afforded to aluminium and stainless steels by their oxide layers. The Pozidriv screw is similar in appearance to the classic Phillips cross-head, but in fact is very different. The Pozidriv has four additional points of contact, and does not have the rounded corners that the Phillips screw drive has. The biggest advantage it offers is that, when used with the correct tooling in good condition, it does not cam out, allowing great torque to be applied. The Pozidriv screw can easily be distinguished by a line embossed in the screw head at 45° to the slots for the driver. The countersunk head is designed to sink flush with substrates to leave a smooth surface finish. They have single threads, designed to offer higher pull out values and quicker insertion.Specifications: Size: 5 x 400mm.Box quantity: 200.

These Forgefix Socket Screws have a raised head, and are designed for attaching electrical wall sockets and switches. The screws have a slotted head and are nickel plated for increased durability. APPLICATIONUsed specifically for attaching electrical wall socket and switches to back plates. The Nickel plating process coats mild steel or stainless steel to considerably prolong the part’s life. Nickel plating is probably the most corrosion resistant finish available and is often used on socket screws for electric switch sockets avoiding corrosion and cross contamination. It leaves a bright aesthetic finish and is extremely hardwearing. With slotted screwdrivers it is important to ensure that the tip matches the width of the screw slot, otherwise you run the risk of damaging the screw head. Slotted screwdrivers are available with either Flared or Parallel tips. For the majority of uses the Flared tip is ideal but if the screw needs to be driven below the material surface a Parallel tip screwdriver should be used. Raised heads have both countersunk and raised structure which is designed for aesthetic purposes on all types of ironmongery and lighting applications.Socket Screw Slotted Raised Head Nickle Plated 3.5 x 75mm Bag 100

These Forgefix Phillips, Single Coarse Thread (SCT) Drywall Screws have a black phosphate finish for increased durability. Their Bugle Head allows the screw to sink effortlessly into the dry lining without the need for countersinking, which in turn minimises the damage to the surface. They are supplied collated, with 50 screws per strip and 1,000 screws per box. APPLICATION:Designed for fitting dry lining to studding. Phosphate coatings are made up of thin crystalline layers of phosphate compounds that adhere to the surface of the fixing or fastener. The phosphate crystals are porous and can be formed from zinc, manganese, or iron phosphate solutions. Phosphate coatings offer good corrosion resistance and have an excellent ability to absorb supplementary coatings which improves appearance, corrosion resistance and resistance to abrasion. The Phillips screw has four simple tapered slots. It is designed so that a Phillips tip screwdriver can turn a screw with increasing torque. When the torque gets to be too strong for the tip then the screwdriver tip winds itself out of the screw thus preventing over-tightening and or damage to the screw head.
