Forgefix Forgefix Multi-Purpose Pozi Screw Csk St Zp 4 X 60Mm Box 200

    5 in stock

These Forgefix Multi-Purpose Pozi Screws with countersunk heads have a zinc finish for increased durability. The screws are immensely popular and versatile, and used in all trades including joinery, electrical and plumbing. Also widely used in DIY applications. APPLICATIONSuitable for use with many materials including PVCu, Timber, Chipboard, MDF, and other similar types. Zinc coatings prevent oxidation of the protected metal to create a longer lasting finish. It does this by forming a barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode if this barrier is damaged. Zinc oxide is a fine white dust that (in contrast to iron oxide) does not trigger a breakdown of the substrate’s surface integrity as it is formed. The zinc oxide, if left intact, can act as a barrier to further oxidation, in a way similar to the protection afforded to aluminium and stainless steels by their oxide layers. The Pozidriv screw is similar in appearance to the classic Phillips cross-head, but in fact is very different. The Pozidriv has four additional points of contact, and does not have the rounded corners that the Phillips screw drive has. The biggest advantage it offers is that, when used with the correct tooling in good condition, it does not cam out, allowing great torque to be applied. The Pozidriv screw can easily be distinguished by a line embossed in the screw head at 45° to the slots for the driver. The countersunk head is designed to sink flush with substrates to leave a smooth surface finish. They have single threads, designed to offer higher pull out values and quicker insertion.Specifications: Size: 4 x 60mm.Box quantity: 200.

    20 in stock

These Forgefix Phillips, single thread Drywall Screws have a black phosphate finish for increased durability. The screws come complete with a Phillips No.2 insert bit. Their Bugle Head allows the screw to sink effortlessly into the dry lining without the need for countersinking, which in turn minimises the damage to the surface. APPLICATION:Designed for fitting dry linings to studding. Phosphate coatings are made up of thin crystalline layers of phosphate compounds that adhere to the surface of the fixing or fastener. The phosphate crystals are porous and can be formed from zinc, manganese, or iron phosphate solutions. Phosphate coatings offer good corrosion resistance and have an excellent ability to absorb supplementary coatings which improves appearance, corrosion resistance and resistance to abrasion. The Phillips screw has four simple tapered slots. It is designed so that a Phillips tip screwdriver can turn a Phillips screw with increasing torque. When the torque gets to be too strong for the tip then the screwdriver tip winds itself out of the screw thus preventing over-tightening and or damage to the screw head. Coarse thread screws (mainly drywall screws) have an extremely sharp point and are designed to penetrate plasterboard skin. They are versatile screws, ideal for use in and with many materials. APPLICATION:Ideal for use in many decorative installations. Can be used with various screw cover caps. The Electro brassed process of electroplating is similar to the 'Galvanised' and 'Zinc Plated' processes but with the addition of a dye. These Forgefix Pozidriv Self-Tapping Screws have countersunk heads and are Zinc Plated for increased resistance to corrosion. They tap their own thread in to a pre-drilled pilot hole in sheet or solid material. They are single threaded to resist pull-out. APPLICATION:Ideal for use in many DIY, ironmongery, engineering, electrical and plumbing applications. The coarse thread eases in to the board then the timber baton holding the board firm.Drywall Screw Phillips Bugle Head SCT Black Phosphate 3.5 x 32mm Bulk 1000
