Slug Gone Wool Pellets are a natural, organic way to keep slugs and snails away from plants. These pellets form a highly effective textured barrier. Suitable for organic gardens, Slug Gone pellets are produced from wool and are ideal for using around fruit, flowers and vegetables, and are perfect for use in tubs and baskets. To use, simply lay the pellets on the compost around the stems of plants, and water. Once wetted, the pellets 'self-felt' to form a continuous mat around the stems. A combined lawn feed and selective weedkiller for control of many common broad-leaved weeds in lawns, Feed and Weed kills clovers, buttercup, dandelion, daisy and plantains to leave a green and healthy lawn. A soluble concentrate, one bottle will cover approximately 100m2 of lawn. Once applied, Feed and Weed quickly kills off any weeds and encourages grass growth to cover bare areas left by dead weeds. Vitax Feed and Weed should be applied when the soil is moist, and weeds are actively growing and leafy. Do not apply in windy weather and where possible avoid drift onto crops and non-target plants. It will kill weeds present at time of application but will not prevent weeds from germinating.

A fully versatile product, Horticultural Potting Grit is lime-free and can be used throughout the garden. Drainage in heavy or clay-based soils can be instantly improved by adding Horticultural Potting Grit. Simply dig over the soil and incorporate the potting grit. The tiny pieces of grit then create air holes so water can drain through the soil more efficiently. The newly created pockets of air also aid root growth as the roots now have room to expand. Horticultural Potting Grit is also used to weigh down plant pots and containers, as well as used as a top dressing for newly planted patio and ornamental plants.
Sharp Sand has a multitude of uses in and around the garden. Due to its versatility, Sharp Sand is a good garden all-rounder. Ideal for screeds, renders or concrete, Sharp Sand can also be used when laying slabs or block paving. Alternatively, Sharp Sand can be sprinkled and forked in to peat and compost for root cuttings and propagating cuttings as it can improve the soil’s overall drainage. By adding Sharp Sand to heavy, clay-based soil it can help break down the soil, creating channels for excess water to drain through.
Silver Sand is a favourite amongst gardeners as it provides countless options for use in and around the garden. Lime-free, it primarily consists of quartz particles which are not coated in iron oxides, making it perfect for adding to growing media. Washed and dried, it has a horticultural grade quality which is perfect for seed sowing, setting cuttings and for use in compost mixes. Silver Sand can also be mixed with peat and loam for a perfect lawn top dressing, alternatively, it can be used to mark out seed beds or forked into heavier soils to improve drainage and reduce water-logging.
