Alternatively it can be incorporated into any of our Immersion Heater range (Backer type VC) to enable the Immersion heaters to meet the new standard. Our new range of BMST thermostats incorporate a secondary safety cut-out, which is independent of the main thermostat. The new thermostats have a second set of contacts which open and limit the water temperature to 98 degrees centigrade should the primary thermostat fail. The second cut-out is non self resetting.
