Their Pan Head with a flat under head surface makes the screws ideal to lay flat on sheet material of all types, thus reducing deformation. APPLICATION:Ideal for use in many DIY, ironmongery, electrical and plumbing applications. Zinc coatings prevent oxidation of the protected metal to create a longer lasting finish. It does this by forming a barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode if this barrier is damaged. The Pozidriv screw is similar in appearance to the classic Phillips cross-head, but in fact is very different. The Pozidriv has four additional points of contact, and does not have the rounded corners that the Phillips screw drive has. The biggest advantage it offers is that, when used with the correct tooling in good condition, it does not cam out, allowing great torque to be applied. The Pozidriv screw can easily be distinguished by a line embossed in the screw head at 45° to the slots for the driver. Forgefix Forgefix Pronged T Nuts Zp M8 Bag 10

    20 in stock

Forgefix Pronged T Nuts are a simple and effective product, offering bolting capability into various soft substrates. They are Zinc Plated for increased resistance to corrosion. APPLICATION:Used widely in the soft furnishing trades where strong timber connection is required. Also extensively used in Playground and Climbing Wall manufacturing. GUIDE:Use 6mm bolt with M6 and 8mm bolt with M8 T-Nuts. When installing the T-Nut tap home and the sharp fins pierce the substrate and fix the T-Nut firmly in place avoiding any rotation when tightening. The T-nuts can be used with many bolting products. A T-nut, (also known as a Blind nut) is a type of nut used to fasten a wood, particle or composite materials work piece, leaving a flush surface. It has a long, thin body and a flange at one end, resembling a T in profile. The flanges of T-Nuts often have hooks or serrations on the prongs that sink into a wooden work piece, providing better retention. Zinc coatings prevent oxidation of the protected metal to create a longer lasting finish. It does this by forming a barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode if this barrier is damaged. Zinc oxide is a fine white dust that (in contrast to iron oxide) does not trigger a breakdown of the substrate’s surface integrity as it is formed. The zinc oxide, if left intact, can act as a barrier to further oxidation, in a way similar to the protection afforded to aluminium and stainless steels by their oxide layers.

These Forgefix Multi-Purpose Pozi Screws with countersunk heads have a zinc finish for increased durability. The screws are immensely popular and versatile, and used in all trades including joinery, electrical and plumbing. Also widely used in DIY applications. APPLICATIONSuitable for use with many materials including PVCu, Timber, Chipboard, MDF, and other similar types. The countersunk head is designed to sink flush with substrates to leave a smooth surface finish. They have single threads, designed to offer higher pull out values and quicker insertion.Specifications: Size: 4 x 500mm.Box quantity: 200.
