These Forgefix Clout Nails have a large head, which distributes the load directly underneath the top of the nail, ensuring that roofing felt stays firm and secure. This reduces the risk of tearing. The nails are galvanised for increased resistance to corrosion.Suitable for roofing of all types. APPLICATION:Specifically used when roofing felt is being fitted to either shed or similar types of roofs. Galvanisation is process of applying a protective zinc coating to steel in order to prevent rusting. Zinc coatings prevent corrosion of the protected metal by forming a physical barrier, and by acting as a sacrificial anode even if this barrier is damaged.Clout Nail Galvanised 40mm Bag Weight 250g

These Forgefix Pozidriv Self-Tapping Screws are zinc plated for increased resistance to corrosion. Their Pan Head, with a flat under head surface makes the screw ideal to lay flat on sheet material of all types, thus reducing deformation. The screws tap their own thread in a pre-drilled pilot hole, in sheet metal. The screws are single threaded to resist pull-out. APPLICATIONIdeal for use in many DIY, ironmongery, engineering, electrical and plumbing applications. Zinc coatings prevent oxidation of the protected metal to create a longer lasting finish. It does this by forming a barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode if this barrier is damaged. Zinc oxide is a fine white dust that (in contrast to iron oxide) does not trigger a breakdown of the substrate’s surface integrity as it is formed. The zinc oxide, if left intact, can act as a barrier to further oxidation, in a way similar to the protection afforded to aluminum and stainless steels by their oxide layers. The Pozidriv screw is similar in appearance to the classic Phillips cross-head, but in fact is very different. The Pozidriv has four additional points of contact, and does not have the rounded corners that the Phillips screw drive has. The biggest advantage it offers is that, when used with the correct tooling in good condition, it does not cam out, allowing great torque to be applied. The Pozidriv screw can easily be distinguished by a line embossed in the screw head at 45° to the slots for the driver.Self Tapping Screw Pozi Pan Head ZP 1 x 8 Box 200
These Forgefix Screw Cup Washers are made from solid brass with a nickel plated finish to avoid corrosion. They are quick and easy to install, with no need to countersink screws. APPLICATIONTo enable flush finish in numerous joinery installations. Can be used with most screw types. The Nickel plating process provides a coating to considerably prolong the part’s life. Nickel plating is probably the most corrosion resistant finish available and is often used on socket screws for electric switch sockets avoiding corrosion and cross contamination. It leaves a bright, aesthetic finish and is extremely hardwearing.Screw Cup Washers Solid Brass Nickle Plated No.8 Bag 200
