Thompson's Water Seal utilises hydrophobic technology to deliver invisible protection against water damage. The deep penetrating formulation travels deep into exterior dry porous surfaces to form a breathable membrane that allows moisture vapour inside the substrate to evaporate whilst protecting against water penetration and damage. Thompson's Water Seal has a unique formulation which, unlike some waterproofers, penetrates the surface therefore waterproofing even after the initial beading is gone. It will not be destroyed by ultraviolet light and is long lasting even under heavy moisture conditions. Assuming application instructions and coverage guidelines are adhered to, it provides effective water repellency for years. Suitable for use on brick, concrete and stone. For exterior use only.

These Forgefix Carriage Bolts are Zinc Plated, and ideal for timber to timber joining. They come complete with a hex nut and are fully threaded to 100mm. Also known as 'Cup Square Hex Bolts', the square underneath the Cup stops rotation of the bolt when tightening. Conform to DIN 603 and DIN 934 standards. Available in a comprehensive range of sizes to suit most applications. APPLICATIONUsed mainly for fastening timber to timber and is extensively used for timber joist construction in house building and numerous decking applications. A Carriage Bolt, also known as a Coach Bolt or as a ‘Fully Threaded Cup Square Hex Bolt’, has a domed or countersunk head, and the shank is topped by a short square section under the head. The square section grips into the part being fixed (typically wood), preventing the bolt from turning when the nut is tightened. A rib neck Carriage Bolt has several longitudinal ribs instead of the square section, to grip into a metal part being fixed. Zinc coatings prevent oxidation of the protected metal to create a longer lasting finish. It does this by forming a barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode if this barrier is damaged. Zinc oxide is a fine white dust that (in contrast to iron oxide) does not trigger a breakdown of the substrate’s surface integrity as it is formed. The zinc oxide, if left intact, can act as a barrier to further oxidation, in a way similar to the protection afforded to aluminium and stainless steels by their oxide layers.Carriage Bolt & Nut ZP M8 x 200 Bag 10

The Pozidriv screw is similar in appearance to the classic Phillips cross-head, but in fact is very different. The Pozidriv has four additional points of contact, and does not have the rounded corners that the Phillips screw drive has. The biggest advantage it offers is that, when used with the correct tooling in good condition, it does not cam out, allowing great torque to be applied. The Pozidriv screw can easily be distinguished by a line embossed in the screw head at 45° to the slots for the driver. The countersunk head is designed to sink flush with substrates to leave a smooth surface finish. They have twin threads, which enable an easy start when driving. These Forgefix Multi-Purpose Pozi Screws with countersunk heads are made from A2 stainless steel. They are ideal for use in and with many materials. APPLICATIONIdeal for use in sanitary locations and in marine environments. Stainless Steel does not corrode, rust or stain with water as ordinary steel does, but despite the name it is not fully stain-proof, most notably under low oxygen, high salinity, or poor circulation environments. Stainless steel is used where both the properties of steel and resistance to corrosion are required. These ForgeFix Phillips Baypole Screws with wafer head are specifically designed for joining PVCu sections, particularly in bay windows. The nails have a self-drill tip and are zinc plated for increased corrosion resistance and durability. The wafer head distributes the load under the screw head, offering a firm positive fixing in a similar way to that of a washer. APPLICATION:The large wafer head distributes the load on numerous types of PVCu sections requiring joining. The zinc oxide, if left intact, can act as a barrier to further oxidation, in a way similar to the protection afforded to aluminium and stainless steels by their oxide layers. The Phillips screw has four simple tapered slots. It is designed so that a Phillips tip screwdriver can turn a Phillips screw with increasing torque. When the torque gets too strong for the tip, the screwdriver tip winds itself out of the screw thus preventing over-tightening and or damage to the screw head. A self-drilling screw is similar to a sheet metal screw, but it has a drill-shaped point to cut through the substrate to eliminate the need for drilling a pilot hole. Designed for use in soft steel or other metals.Head: Wafer HeadFinish: Zinc PlatedSize: 4.8 x 100mmPack: Box 100
